You should first of all know that there’s difference between password protecting external hard drive and password protecting a folder in external hard drive.
To password protect a folder external hard drive, You just have to following the following steps :
1. Download the Winmend Folder Hidden software.
2. Install it
3. Set a password when you’ll run the software.
4. Click Hide Folder to hide thefolders to hide the files.
Just remember the password always as you will need it to unhide the files.
