Iam using a Samsung SCX 3401 laser printer. Whenever Igive a print command,it shows an error “Door open close it” with Samsung printer error code S2-4110. I have checked the front cover, and it is properly closed. Can anybody tell how to fix this issue?
As the statement justifies, this error occurs when the top cover or the front cover of the printer is not closed properly. But if you have done that already, there might be some other problem. Sometimes the transfer belt of the printer is not installed which gives rise to above error, or the harness is defective.
To resolve this, check whether the PTB is installed in your device or not. If not, install PTB. Also, check that the harness between HVPS and PBA is not broken or defected. Doing this would probably resolve your issue.
If you have a Samsung printer and you receive error code “S2-4110,” the problem is related to the printer’s door that you forgot to close or it is slightly open. The error is usually accompanied by the following message:
“Door is open. Close the door.”
If you encounter this error on a Samsung printer, check and verify that the door is perfectly closed. Another possible cause of the problem is a defective door sensor. In this case, check the cover open switch on the HVPS and verify that it is operating properly. If there is a problem, replace the HVPS board.
This method is beyond a normal user’s capacity to fix basic problem. If the problem continues, just bring the printer to a repair shop to get it serviced.
