Learn The Difference Between Hardware Firewall And Software Firewall

Firewall, to begin with, blocks unauthorized access from the Internet to your computer network. It is the barrier that protects your computer network against attacks from the Internet.

Hardware Firewall: It is a device that you can connect it with your computer’s network in order to protect it from unwanted traffic from the outside world (Internet). It comes in Routers or in standalone devices.

Software Firewall: This is installed in your computer, unlike the Hardware Firewall, hence the name ‘Software’ Firewall. It checks the data that flows in your computer via Internet, analyses it and if the internet tries to access your network, it blocks it and immediately notifies the user.
