I am a timekeeper in my organization. I have to manage data from multiple time zones across the globe. I have seen that many use the GMT, and UTC terms interchangeably. Are the two same or is there some UTC and GMT difference?
Learn The UTC And GMT Difference(s)
Hi, indeed timekeeping is a difficult job. Answer to your query is that GMT and UTC are not the same, using them interchangeably is inappropriate. Differences between the two are as follows:
• GMT stands for Greenwich Meantime, and UTC stands for Coordinated Universal Time.
• GMT is a time zone used in many countries across the European and African continent.
• UTC is a worldwide time standard and is not used by any country.
