Hello, I am a beginner level user of DNS databases. I learn about DNS transactions from a variety of sources. But, I’ve been unable to understand the concept of the DNS Zone Transfer. I need to know about what is a DNS Zone Transfer?
Learn What Is A DNS Zone Transfer?
DNS (Domain Name System) Zone Transfer is a variety of DNS transactions. It is an administrator tool that duplicates DNS databases from a collection of DNS Servers. TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) protocol is used for transport by a Zone Transfer. DNS Zone Transfer does the same and transforms into a client-server transaction.
There are two types of DNS Zone Transfer; Full Zone Transfer and Increment Zone Transfer. Both of these services are fully client-controlled.
