There are cases where someone gets data from Microsoft Access database and needs to get the data into MySQL database management system. This challenge has been handled by getting access to some MySQL freeware that does the importation of mdb files . How legal is the use of mysql freeware to open mdb file?

Hello

It's 100% legal since you are not using an illegitimate version of any application, you are using freeware application which just enables you to view and edit access database. But you don't have all options like you have in MS Access, that's the main difference. So you are free to use that application and it's 100% legal.
