I am unable to open AutoCAD 2011. I have installed this from the internet. I have a single server license. I installed the software successfully, but now, I can’t run it. It is showing an error message. Here it is – "A Valid License could not be obtained by the license manager" error [-5.412.0]. How can I properly install AutoCAD 2011?
License manager problem Autocad 2011
Dear Raymond,
The reason why the program is giving you this error is due to a corrupt file that this version of AutoCAD 2011 has. Therefore, in order to solve this problem you need to delete or rename the CASCADEINFO.CAS file from the Autodesk Folder.Â
To do so,
Go to your Local Disk (C:) –> Documents and Settings –> All Users –> Application Data –> Autodesk –> Adlm (This option is for Windows XP).
For Windows Vista or Windows 7 : Go to your Local Disk (C:) –> Application Data –> Autodesk –> Adlm
For Mac: Go to your Local Disk (C:) –> Library –> Application Support –> Autodesk –> Adlm –> Config
Note: If you cannot find the file try to activate the option Show hidden folders /files, located in the Tool menu –> Folder Options –> View –> Click on Show hidden files and folders –> Apply.
I hope this works. Have a great day,
Aaron Cast.
