Limitation on Windows Server 2003
There are various limitations to windows 2003 especially when it comes to the hardware specifications that are used. Some are as follows:
-
The Hot Add Memory feature is not available in some versions. It is a feature that is meant to allow ranges of memory to be added to a computer and also made available to the operating system that is being and applications that you have installed as part of the normal memory pool.
-
In some cases, there may be non-uniform memory access, whereby the time the processor is meant to access the memory in the other nodes is not longer than the access time that is used when accessing the memory in the same node, and therefore causing no-uniform memory access across the system.
