Techyv! Currently I'm upgrading my site. I would like to ask for a link on the maintenance page .Html download that is working that I can use to stop my site showing an error page. Please urgent help needed. Thanks.

Hello,

These days when people online visit various websites, they do not like to see any pages showing the sign "under construction" or "under maintenance". Even if you need to show such a sign, please do make sure that your page is down not for so long. Kindly have a look at the attached image.

Most websites nowadays no longer use the maintenance page because it interrupts users visiting the site. It lessens the number of people visiting. The maintenance page is optional, actually. It is a customized page that website owners or developers create to direct traffic to and inform the visiting people about the site activity.

You can create it on your own because it is just one HTML document where you will redirect all the traffic from the main index document or home page of the site. If you are using WordPress or Drupal, check your control panel for the availability of the maintenance page. If it doesn’t have any, just create one custom page for your site.

Here’s an example of a custom maintenance page.

Here’s also another one from YouTube which adds a little graphics.

Once you have a custom maintenance page, insert an auto-redirect link on the main index file of your site and point it to the custom maintenance page you created. Also, check your site’s control panel for option to automatically redirect all traffic to the custom maintenance page you created.
