Linux Mint 10 Synaptic Error
Hi Thomas_1,
You have to try the following solutions:   Â
-
Synaptic Manager cannot be able to installed software because of the different dependencies or any other problem similar to inner compiler failure: Segmentation error.  You have to delete the software contradicts with the command dpkg-r  package name.  You can  use this solution every time for the correction of  the software package and you have to use also sudo dpkg-configure-a for you to assemble the software which do not installed.
-
You can also look for the Debian-specific repository with identical program. the absence of it maybe one of the reasons.
-
Just remember, it will be easy for you to find synaptic system tools menu if you are using Debian or Ubuntu.
