Hello Larry Bryant,

Of course we can use Linux in our personal computer if our home computer matches the hardware configuration that is demanded by the Linux. Your computer will be more user-friendly and more secured by using Linux if the configuration of your computer contains the latest type of processor and ram. Also hardware requirement is dependent on Linux type. If you would like to use “Fedora Core 6” then Motherboard should be Intel Pentium 4 or later version and RAM should be minimum 256MB. These requirements are covered by most of the computers. So be informed by following the steps below:

Right Click on MY COMPUTER and then click properties. Then you will see a dialogue box where you will find the configuration of your computer. If the configuration matches with the Linux hardware need then you can install Linux on your computer. You will get lots of benefits from Linux. Such as, your computer will be more secure in case of exchange sensitive data and other sensitive things over the Internet.

Thanks
