I am under windows 7 64, DD33, hard drive and burner.
When I want to start a live CD or DVD,it does not work and if I go into the bios to put the cd in the first function does not exist.

Regarding your problem as u mentioned, I suppose you should investigate first regarding the internal architecture of your personal computer. The reason for given you this option is that as u are saying that you are not seeing your CD.DVD drive in BIOS also. So I suggest you to open the CPU cover and check the cabling that is attached to your CD/DVD drive, and also check the jumper settings, if wires are installed correctly reinstall it again and then check

Hi there,
First when you power up your machine, you should see the blinking light of the DVD rom, that ensures that the drive is receiving power, secondly you need to open the side panel of your case to see if the cable from your DVD drive to your motherboard is connected properly.
Your peripheral connection interface should be SATA considering it is a fairly modern machine, check the connectors , push down till fastened and power up the pc

To check the CD driver installation, you have to do the following steps.

Click the right button on My Computer and select Properties.

After clicking the Hardware tab, select Device Manager from the list that appears.

To add new DVD/CD-ROM drive, click on the + sign next to DVD/CD-ROM drives.

When the CD drive appears, click the add sign and then click next. This way your OS recognizes your CD derive. Then enable your CD drive.
