Logos Bible Software 4 Error

Hello,

I am experiencing a problem with logos bible software 4. When I try to access a directory using this software, I get an error and I cannot install the update. The screenshot of the error is attached below:

Logos Bible Software 4

Error writing to file:

C:UsersgillesAppDataLocalLogos4Logos4.exe. Verify that you have access to that directory.

Retry Cancel

 

Can anyone please help me remove this error? I am really worried. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Logos Bible Software 4 Error

Hello Olivia,

If you installed the Logos Bible Software on your system then it is most likely that the installation was not successful. I will therefore suggest that you retry the installation, and if you end up get up getting the same issue, you might need to go ahead and then get another setup and use it for installation.

Logos Bible Software 4 Error

Hi Olivia,

It seems that the problem you are facing could probably be an ownership of file issue. Uninstalling and re-installing the program might work but before that, try to follow the following steps to fix the issue face in updating Logos 4. First enable viewing of hidden files and folders found in folder options.

Find Logos4 and right click then select properties. This can be found in a folder in your drive C with the following directory: <C:UsersUsernameAppDataLocal>

When Properties displayed click on <Security> then <Advanced>

 

Click on <Owner> you will see that.

 

 

Click <Edit…> Hereunder appears

Assign ownership of the Logos by selecting the username with which you use Logos4.

Tick in box <replace owner on subcontainers and folders>
