Looking for a good portable photo scanner

Hello,

I have lots of printed photos and I want to digitize them and store then on a hard disk. It’s easier to lose them in hard copy than in soft copy. I have seen some options on Amazon but am not familiar with any. What is the best scanner for scanning photos?

Let me clear you one thing. To scan your old photos, you need a photo scanner and to scan your negatives, you need a film scanner. If you are looking for a best portable image scanner, then go on with Canon P-215. Its a mobile document scanner. The resolution is 600 dpi. DPI is dots per inch, which ensures the quality of the image scanned. More the number of dpi, more good is the quality of the image. But 600-800 dpi are enough good for home and personal use. Its price is at $270. 

In case of film scanners for your negatives, the best is Nikon Coolscan 500ED. Its best feature is that it will digitize your negatives and the scanned copies too. Its price is $800.

Yes there is a lot to offer by using a portable scanner and scanning your hard copy memories. I mean the pictures you have. And yes there might be this time that you might loose some of those. And best way of keeping those good memory pictures are by putting it into a computer or even uploading it in you private storage. Like Google drive. I will provide you with some link where you can read some of the best scanners that this generation can offer. Getting a 300 Dpi is good quality but higher is more better specially if you want good quality pictures to be scanned.
