Hi Techyv!
I am looking for experts’ opinions on CMS. Can anyone please tell me what is the best and really simple CMS to use? Can you share your experience and encountered problems upon using it? I have heard of Drupal and Joomla but I’m not quite knowledgeable on their strong features and limitations. Can anyone please share me their knowledge? Any information will be of great help.
Thanks in advance!
Looking For A Really Simple CMS?
Â
Hi Alice,
Â
If you are looking for a simple CMS there is a lot out there that you can choose from. The only problem is, not all CMS that are available are free.
Well, two in your list which are Drupal and Joomla can be considered as a good start for you. I may recommend WordPress to you too as one of the best start for CMS.
Â
1. DRUPAL
This CMS has the most flexible and highly customizable CMS among WordPress and Joomla. One of the biggest disadvantages of this CMS is that since some modules were not upgraded fast in phase with the Drupal core, you may experience some key modules that are hanging.
Â
Â
2. JOOMLA
This is a hybrid CMS between WordPress blogging platform and an extensive toolbox in Drupal. Joomla is like in a middle of the solution for users  who can be more technical than WordPress requires but not in Drupal's challenge of learning which is incredibly complex.
Â
Â
3. WORDPRESS
This is one of the most popular CMS for blogging and most easy and convenient to use. It gives an easy platform to users without having a complete knowledge about PHP and other languages. One of the most talked about issue with WordPress is its security. Since there were millions of images for themes were installed, this made it open for automated tools for infiltration illegally. So, it is very important to keep WordPress extensions and core updated at anytime.

As I want to share as well:
Â
Drupal is highly rated from programmers.
WordPress is highly rated from bloggers,
Joomla is highly rated from the designer,
Â
The choice is yours, all of them are open source. Well, trying all of it will give you more knowledge.
Â
I hope this helps you.
