There are plenty of free solutions for you and simple Google search using the 'security camera freeware' will give you plenty of results to choose from.

 

However, I would suggest you to try the software called iSpy Connect. It is in my opinion the most complete open source software with plenty of features that will surely fit your needs. You can review it and download it from the following link: http://www.ispyconnect.com/.
