Lotus Notes – Error – Field Contains Incorrect Value

 Hi TechyV buddies!

I am having some problem with my lotus notes. An error message appears when I try to append an HTML. The error message appears like this: “since you have chosen to append and HTML or image as a signature, you must include the filename that you wish to use.” Can you help solve this issue please?

Lotus Notes – Error – Field Contains Incorrect Value

I think you are planning to insert an image or an html page as your signature. Maybe you only activated the option to enable the insertion of external signature and you totally forgot to specify the file name or the exact location or URL of the file you want to use as signature.

Check this part again and make sure that you specify the correct file to use then try it again.

If it still doesn’t work and the correct options are activated, try reinstalling Lotus Notes. This is to fix any corrupted files that may have developed in the application when it was installed. Uninstall the program then restart your computer when asked. After booting, check your computer for any possible errors.

Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics test on your machine, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities. Install it again then check if this fixes the problem.
