You got the kind of error because you are trying to access the server from the client notes for the very first time. You need to create a connection document using your IP address. Below are the steps:
You can also add server name and IP in the host file C:%windir%system32driversetchosts
This solution worked for me. I hope it will solve your problem too.

One workaround for this problem is to add the IP and the server name of your Lotus Notes.
Navigate to C:%windir%system32driversetchosts
Edit the file with the Notepad and add there your IP and server name.
127.0.0.1 localhost loopback
::1 localhost
You need here to add the Lotus Notes IP address (as 127.0.0.1) and the Server name (as localhost).
Save the file, and restart the machine.
