I just learned about this MagSkin product that you put at the back of your iPhone to let it stick to a metal surface.
Are they really using magnets?
Will it not affect the phones functionality or interfere with the signal?
MagSkin? A magnetic skin for the iPhone?
Yes they are really using magnets as the name suggests.
The MagSkin is less than 1 mm thick and can fully support the weight of iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S which is about 4.9 ounces (140 grams) to vertically stuck to a metallic surface. It uses pressure sensitive adhesive so you can remove the skin easily and cleanly.
If you spend about $9 you can get a MagSkin for your iPhone without color and if you are ready to spend about $12-15 you can choose from variety of colors and designs (including the Heat Sensitive MagSkin). They are using High Energy Flexible Magnets to create this Heat Sensitive MagSkin. This kind of magnets is easy to handle and free from being broken or shattering.
But this magnetic rear skin is definitely not going to affect the functionality or interfere with the signal.

MagSkin? A magnetic skin for the iPhone?
Magskin is something that is put at the back of your iPhone so that you pin your iPhone to any metallic thing like Refrigerator and even to your car. It was created for self usage but then it become well known because of the creators friend and friends that it become sensational. The creator just given a bit of art flash to make it more look attractive. He added some snake skin and temperature sensitive covers to upped the strength of the magnets.
Although its quite nice thing but as much as you could imagine magnets might broke your iPhone because know that iPhone has sensitive parts that may brake if close contacted to any magnetic. Â So it is not a guarantee that it may not brake you iPhone. This Magskin is still seeking financial assistance so it is not still tested whether it can protect you iPhone against the harms brought about by magnetic.Â
