Maintenance tasks for a 2008 Domain

Our 2008 AD network runs 200 Windows 7 machines and I’m wondering, which maintenance tasks are appropriate for these machines? Disk scan, defragment, etc.?

Maintenance tasks for a 2008 Domain

There are some points that you can work on to secure your Domain and can maintain your domain.

• First thing is to keep a backup of all of your info that is of most importance and regularly do the same thing over a period of time.
• The second thing is to maintain the accounts of the users that are on the domain.
• Keep the active directory clean and only set the rights that are important for the users.
• Only rely on the data which is safe and do not copy a data that contains some virus or infections.
• Disk scan is also a major task in this case but a strong antivirus is most suitable for this purpose to maintain your server and domain.
• keep looking for updates on your server if any update is required specially for the antivirus program you have installed.
• These are some major things i can discuss here although there are other number of things that can be done in this regard but these are not so common.
