The Major Difference Between Cat5 And Cat6 Cables!

As far as the ports are concerned, both CAT5 and CAT6 cables use the same port for plug-in i.e. they utilize the same end piece. The difference lies in their capabilities as well as the method and material used to create them. The major differences include:

• CAT5 provides 1GB per sec speed at 100m while CAT6 provides 10GB per sec speed at 55m.

• CAT5 frequency: 100MHz, CAT6 frequency: 250MHz

• CAT5 has more crosstalk potential than CAT6 cable
