Java download is safe. If you are going to download then you must know the use and downloading of java. For you kind information to download java you can use many site from which downloading is safe and virus free because those site are testing and any which is uploaded to them for virus.
Java is an open source and you can download it from as many sites as Google display in search. Some of the sites that you can use are CNET, Softpedia, and many other.

Hi,
To know that any download from the internet is safe, first you have to ensure that the site you are downloading from is a trusted site that offers genuine software, and by genuine I mean they do not embed other malware that are designed to crush your system. So the case is the same with java.
The site that I mostly use when I want to get software is CNET, it is good and its software are good too. You may be having a site that you use and trust; you can go ahead and use it. But just to be a little bit surer, make sure you have a strong antivirus running on your computer to guard against any malware that may come as a result of the download process, and you should also scan the whole downloaded file when the download is complete.
