Making changes to AS400 system

If I make a change to the AS400 system should I end all the batch jobs? If I don't, What serious problems that affects the system performance?

Making changes to AS400 system

If you want to end the Batch Jobs, first, you have to ask yourself first if you really want to END it. Another thing to consider is what is the batch job doing.  Lastly, do you have backup if these files is updating?  You should have a control in program for rollback the changes made to Database.

Basically, its effect on the system will all depends on the type of the jobs.  The program will stop doing its work or processing instantly, it will then leave the file in a form or state that where you ended the job.  If the job would usually or normally delete files at the end of it,  still you would see the files in the system
