Mass Storage Controller Dell E6520

I am trying to download Windows 7 x64, I have reached to the point where it’s asking whether I would like to install the O/S and here, no hard drives are listed. Where are the drivers? When I clicked on ‘browse’ to load mass storage controller drivers, then none of the downloaded ones are recognized. Why are these mass storage controller drivers such complicated to the source?

I then set BIOS to ATA thinking that it might then see the hard drive, but it still doesn’t work. The drivers I’ve downloaded both hard drives are extracted to folders and placed on my USB drive. How do I go about it?

Firstly, you will need to remove the Dell Data Protection software, which is incompatible with the Windows 10 operating system.

Remember first to upgrade to get windows activated, and then do a fresh install. So, you will need to install it twice, but there is no simple activation method for a fresh install without the machine being activated.

Certainly, the Dell Data Protection software replaces the normal Ctrl+Alt+Del screen, etc. and is compatible with Windows 10. Run a system reset within this application before removing it, as it must be playing with many low-level systems.
