Mass update multiple word documents?

I have over a 1000 of microsoft word 2003 documents that need to be update quickly! I need to add headers and footers to all of them by mass updating multiple word documents. I have some experience with the Interop lib, but have no idea how to add whole sections.

Mass update multiple word documents?

As we know the Word 2003 does not have an option to update multiple documents at once, we can either reply on some third party program or can create out own macro to do it.
