What does one mean by internet protocols? Name the significant protocols involved in the transmission of data over the internet? How many parts is an IP address divided into, and what does information do they carry? Also, state the difference between IP address and machine address?
Mean By Internet Protocols
Internet protocol is a method through which data is sent through the internet when a specific data is being sent from a from sender to receiver or from host to its destination. The data is divided into several small packets. Each packet is passed through several gateways until a specific gateway identifies the destination as the adjacent.
Two different significant protocols are used when a data is being transmitted the internet protocols make sure that the packets have reached their destination; it does not what care in which order have they reached. It’s the job of TCP/IP to sort it out.
An IP address is subdivided into two parts the identifier of a particular network and the identifier of a particular device now the second part of the IP address that is the identifier of a particular device is also known as the machine address. It is also known as the host number.
