The both Software's have a big market and numerous applications being developed for them. But Android certainly leads with the largest number of applications being developed everyday. The other plus point of Android is being open source thus allowing unlimited options for tweaking. You can Google them can learn and play with your Android based device all the time. However to mention a few must done tweaks include 

1. Merging your contact information from your favorite social media contacts.

Just tap on contacts and go to menu > edit choose join and select all to merge with your social media contacts for e.g. Facebook

2. New androids come with the new days evolving social media Google+ reinstalled. You can just SignUp and start uploading your snapshots on the cloud.

3. With the latest android it has a new face unlocking feature installed which uses the front camera on your device. After the success of Pattern based locking this could be the new phase of locking phones as its quite accurate.
