Memory Space Error in Starting djDecks

I got a very long error message when I tried loading my Virtual DJ which is the DjDecks. Below is the message:

“Error from VirtualDJ: Decompressing this file in memory would require 44MB of contiguous memory. Your system has a total of 147MB available free segments (out of The 2047MB), and they are too fragmented to hold a contiguous buffer. Therefore, the song will be loaded on-the-fly from the drive (and the full waveform preview will not be available).”

I have Windows Vista 32-Bit if that information would help. Please let me know. I am really confused of this error. I tried using .mps formats but I got the same error message.

Memory Space Error in Starting djDecks

As the error message says, you do not have enough space on your computer to be able to decompress the file that you are using with the virtualDJ, and that is because you have defragmented your drive and thus making the space on the current partition that you are trying to save the file on so smaller, and therefore you will need to do the following:

  • On the partition that you are trying to decompress the file to, you will need to look for any unused files on it and then delete them so as to create some more space.
  • You may also want to run the disk cleanup utility to help remove unused files.
  • Once you have done that, you can then try loading the virtual DJ again and see what the response is.
