Message error in Avid Media Composer

Hello,

I have MC6 on a venture and then my pc got hanged. When I restarted and attempted MC6 again, it was showing me an error notification like this: 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Error:

Error on xml setting file at 'C:UsersPublicDocumentsAvid Media Composersettingssite_Settings.xml'.

Reverting to the.avs file.

More information can be found on the console.

                                                                                                    OK

Any thoughts on how to repair this? Maybe something has gone wrong. Did any of you face this kind of problem before? If yes, then please share your experienced and suggestions. It's a big help for me.

Message error in Avid Media Composer

Hello,

To face this trouble with butterfly MC6 you can first do a free scan to fix this error message or any error on this program and you can disable it to temporarily get rid with this free scan. But if the message still annoying you. You can clean your PC from all the files undesirable and from the corrupted files and all the programs unwanted.

Then you can reinstall associated programs with windows in uninstall tool. Then you can click start,click Run. Then write (CMD) in the box and press enter. Then type "regsvr32-u butterfly-head2-v3MC6.then select "regsvr32 msstdfmt.dl.then click ok.

May be the corruption is from related Registry files and may be this will be the best solution for this error to registry these files by clicking start and typing "Regedit"and press Enter.

And find HKEY-local machine then choose software folder and select windows and "current version"folder. Then click Run and choose Mc6 file and press delete to remove the interrupted file.
