Micro SD card blocked with solid plastic thing.

I am using Lenovo Laptop, accidently my 5 year old girl has blocked internal card reader of my laptop with some solid plastic thing that is hard to extract out. Is there any way by which I can just remove it, without causing any hardware harm to the laptop? I don't want to open the Laptop by myself as I am afraid that it would start malfunctioning. Please help me with the issue.

I guess not. There is no way you can remove that microSD card reader from your laptop without opening the laptop itself and if you haven’t done it before you may damage other parts. But there is actually no problem even if your card reader can no longer be used because of a solid plastic inserted inside.

You can still use a USB 2.0 microSD card reader which you can insert on one of your USB ports. Like for example the Insignia USB 2.0 SD/MMC Memory Card Reader which costs around $7.99. It works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 as well as Mac OS X 10.4 and up.

It is compatible with SD, SDHC, SDXC, microSDHC, microSD, microSDXC, MMC+, and MMC.
