An error occurs when you download Microsoft Office 2010 SP 1 because the update has simply failed.

This error could be fixed if you download the latest updates from Microsoft’s official website.

Also you shall download the updates from Microsoft

Update frequently where both Windows update and Office update are included.

You could find some download guides there.

The Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2553092) could be downloaded manually at following links.
At top of the download page you will find the Download button, simply click the .exe file to start the download and save the .exe file to hard drive on your machine. Then you shall open Windows Explorer, then double-click that downloaded .exe file and follow those on-screen instructions. It would be better if any running programs have to be closed before installing these updates.

Have a nice day.

Hope this could be helpful.

  • First, you need to create an administrator account to help you install Microsoft Office 2010.
  • You need to log in and launch the Microsoft Office 2010 installer.
  • Then, if errors appear on your program Data folder, check on the registry to control the entire Program data folder.
  • In the Start menu, get the Microsoft Office 2010 Tools under the program data and access the error. It must now start to install a fresh. This will shut down the computer and it will restart again.
