Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

Microsoft SharePoint, developed by Microsoft, is a platform for a web application. It has been first launched in 2001 and is usually linked with web content and document systems of management, although it is in fact a much wider stand of web expertise able of being set up to go well with a broad variety of solution areas. In addition to being n-tier scalable, SharePoint is known of its ability to support numerous organizations on a solo 'server farm'.

Microsoft offers SharePoint Foundation for free, but offers premium versions with added functionality, and also offers SharePoint as a deal in their cloud computing as included in their Office 365 program (which was formerly a part of their Business Productivity Online Standard Suite (BPOS) offering).

The Microsoft SharePoint is, as well, accessible for sale through a cloud model by many third-party sellers.
