Hi there,

This morning Microsoft Outlook showed up this error message box. Is for the first time when I have this kind of error, actually I never had errors with Outlook. I tried to reinstall and is not working. Please is there a solution for this error? How can this be solved?

Thank you!

The add-in “C:WINNTSystem32ActExt.dll” could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect and Repair on the Help menu. Unable to load C:WINNTSystem32ActExt.dll. You may be out of memory, out of system resources, or missing a dll file.

It’s not possible for Microsoft Office Outlook to not work if you decide to reinstall it because reinstalling the application will also remove the buggy plug-in. And when you reinstall it, the plug-in will not be reinstalled if it is a third-party plug-in you installed separately. But if the add-in comes with Microsoft Office Outlook by default then it will be installed automatically with the software.

The easiest way to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Office Outlook is using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. To do this, click Start, Control Panel, and then select Add or Remove Programs. Scroll down and find Microsoft Office then click Change. See image.

On the next screen select “Add or Remove Features” and then click Next. In the Installation Options, click on the dropdown menu before Microsoft Office Outlook and select Not Available. Selecting this option will uninstall Microsoft Office Outlook from Microsoft Office package. Click Continue to proceed. See image.

Follow the succeeding instructions until it is complete. If it prompts to restart the computer then restart your machine. To reinstall Microsoft Office Outlook, repeat the same steps until Installation Options. In Installation Options screen, select either “Run from My Computer” or “Run all from My Computer” and click Continue to proceed. Wait for it to finish and then see if the program is now working properly. See image.
