Hello,

Microsoft paint publisher encountered some problem. When trying to launch or open Microsoft paint publisher there is a problem occurred regarding the version. I think it needs to be updated for some reason about security and proper usage. I am using Windows Xp Os. Is this has to do with the compatibility issues? How can I fix this problem?

It has nothing to do with your system. Microsoft Publisher is compatible with all Windows System. The error is due to your application’s version. It is simply outdated which is why the error message pops up. Another reason for the error message is the installation failure. Uninstall your program first then install it again.

Hello Mathew Ohammer

Have a nice day. Hope you are fine. You got trouble with Microsoft Paint Publisher and the answer is you have to update the version must. At first, check your windows XP automatic update option run or not? This could be some of your system file has been updated and Microsoft Paint Publisher is not compatible with your updated system files now. So it causes opening problem. Search on Google and you will get some versions to download or download an updated version of Microsoft Paint Publisher. After download run the software by next and yes and with appropriate tick marks and the new version will replace your previous Microsoft Paint Publisher. Remember try to download the update version via Google search from Microsoft website.  Go to start>Control Panel>Automatic Updates> and choose your update settings. Mark there windows will not update without your permission.

Secondly there could be a problem of your Windows XP installation. If you are using a free version than you can change the version or you can try with a new installation. If you are using original windows XP, you must need to download the Microsoft Paint Publisher from Microsoft website. Hope this will help you.

With thanks
