Microsoft Partnership with Linux for Azure Platform
Azure Platform is a cloud computing platform used to create, host and scale web applications. Windows Azure is categorized as platform as a service and consists of various on demand services hosted in Microsoft data centre.
Linux will be on the Microsoft Azure Platform as a service.
It is an application platform that has three main components: Compute that provides the computation environments; Storage which focuses on providing scalable storage: Fabric which uses high speed connections and switches to interconnect nodes consisting of several servers.
It provides an API built REST,HTTP and XML that allows the developer to interact with the services. It also provides a client side managed class library.
Microsoft Partnership with Linux for Azure Platform
Windows Azure is the application platform of Microsoft for the public cloud. It is a cloud computing platform that can be used to create, set out, and handle services and applications by means of Microsoft-managed datacenters global network.
It lets you develop applications using different tools, programming languages, and or frameworks and makes it possible for the developers to incorporate their public cloud applications in their present IT environment.
It also offers services for both Platform as a Service or PaaS, and Infrastructure as a Service or IaaS, and these are what they called the Public Cloud.
You can also create a web application that runs and saves its data in Microsoft datacenters. For website owners, it lets developers create sites with PHP, ASP.NET, and or Node.js and can be set out with Git, FTP, and or Team Foundation Server.
