Using “Microsoft Power Point”, I was trying to upload a video file embedding code through a given website. It fails to upload the file saying the error message as shown in the screenshot. Can you help me in this regard to solve the issue please?

PowerPoint cannot insert video from this embed code. Verify the embed code is correct, and then try again

Hi there,

If you cannot insert a video using a link or an embed code from a website, maybe the embed code that you copied is not correct or there is an error, try to copy it again. And also Microsoft Power Point cannot read or run all types of file extension of a video. I think it is better for you to download first the video and then convert it to a specific file type that MS PowerPoint can read.

Hope it helps.

Hello Michael,

This message appears when you insert a wrong embed code. I think you are trying to embed a video using the URL which is not correct. Here is the procedure to embed your video in Microsoft Power Point presentation.

1. Go to your slides tab, click on your slide to which you need to embed a video.

2. Go to that website that has the video you are trying to embed in your presentation.

3. Now copy the embed code, this is not a URL but it will be an HTML code you need to copy. This step is important.

4. Use insert tab to add the video.

5. Paste your copied embed code to video from website.

That's all you need to do.
