Maybe your operating system is not compatible with this version of Microsoft Project Standard. To review its system requirements, Microsoft Project Standard 2010 supports Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 with MSXML 6.0, Windows Server 2008, Windows XP Service Pack 3 32-bit, Windows Vista Service Pack 1, and Windows 7.

This version also requires installing these components: Microsoft Outlook 2003 Service Pack 2 or later, Microsoft Excel 2003 Service Pack 2 or later, Microsoft Visio Professional 2007 or later, Microsoft Project Web App, Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 or later, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.

If you still have the installer for Microsoft Project Standard 2010 and your operating system is supported by this application, try restarting your computer then install it again. After booting the computer check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. Install Microsoft Project Standard 2010 again after this and be sure to run it as administrator if it’s available.
