Microsoft share point 2010 installation error
Hi,
I faced the same problem once. You need to install the software manually. You need a file that is not pre-installed.
-
Uninstall SharePoint 2010 from your computer.
-
Go to Microsoft SharePoint. Scroll down and download this file: windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe.
-
After you download this file, install the software and restart your system.
-
Then install SharePoint 2010.
This helped me fix my problem. Hope it helps you fix your problem.
Microsoft share point 2010 installation error
Hi Ryan,
There seems to be a conflict with the Program and your Operating system and this can also be caused if the proper Authorization is not set correctly.
You can try this solution : Navigate through Sharepoint folder > PrerequisiteInstallerFiles > FilterPack folder and look for FilterPack.msi.
Use this to manually install the program. After that, look for Config.xml found in Sharepoint folder > Files > Setup and then add this tag < Setting ID= “AllowWindowsClientInstall”Value=”True”/>. And then save the config file and close it.
Here is a more detailed link to the coding instruction. Also you can go to Windows Features and then look for Windows Authorization under World Wide Web, once found enable it.
After that install the software as a stand alone.
