Hi,
For the last few days I have encountered a problem about using MS Office on my desktop with the Windows XP operating system. The problem is that, whenever I went to launch MS Word, I have got the following error message
Microsoft Visual C Runtime Error windows XP
Microsoft C visual run error in XP occurs because of the COM Add-in. Remove COM add-in which is causing the issue will solve the problem.
Try below steps to resolve the problem,
-
Open Microsoft Office Word document.
-
Go to Microsoft Office Symbol and search for 'Word option'.
-
Select Word option and in the options displayed choose Add-ins.
-
There will be a drop down 'Manage ' search for it and click on GO and REMOVE the COM Add-in.
These steps must solve the problem.
Microsoft Visual C Runtime Error windows XP
Hello,
This scenario behind this issue is the loading failure of Com Add-in. There may be many reasons for that to result in a loading failure. Here is the most common solution in the case.
First make sure the Add-in is not listed under the 'Disabled items' category.
(To check the disabled items list in Office 2003: Go to help menu > About > "Disabled items"
To check the disabled items list in Office 2007: Click the office button > Go to options (at the bottom of the list) > Select Add-ins tab > Select the Disabled items from the dropdown menu > GO)
Follow this procedure to load the Add-in
-
Click the Office button, on the top at the left corner in any office program. [Eg: MS Word]
-
Click MS Word options
-
From the tabs listed on the left side, click Add-ins tab and then click GO
-
In the Add-ins available box, select the check box next to the COM Add-in, to load it and click OK
Hope this will help.
