Not sure, if this is the place where I can post this particular question. I have been receiving error messages when I try to perform an action on my HTC phone, which is connected to my Windows Vista machine.
Here is the simple process that I use. I connect it using the USB cable and am trying to transfer an application onto my HTC phone. Unfortunately I am not able to do so, since it pop’s up with an error message.
Is this incompatible?

OK
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone Zune
Early this year the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 updates replace its default from Emulator up to Device. So if you’re in debugging you apparently don’t have the Zune and you received this kind of error message.
You can get rid of those error messages by going to Windows Explorer then push on these list:
-
"%LocalAppData%MicrosoftPhone ToolsCoreCon10.0" or
-
"C:UsersYourUserNameGoesHereAppDataLocalMicrosoftPhone ToolsCoreCon10.0" .
After that search for the original back up file and then open it.
Now try to search for the XML node inside the original file, which is specifically the “Windows Phone 7 Emulator” then copy its ID attribute then paste it as the new value, reboot the Visual Studio, and you will be able to see that Windows Phone 7 Emulator is the default displayed.
Take note that all command should be properly inputted.
