Windows Sever is a brand name that is used by Microsoft Corporation to define operating systems that act as servers.  This brand has the following operating systems included:

1. Windows 2000 server

2. Windows 2003 server

3. Windows server 2003 R2

4. Windows server 2008

5. Windows sever 2008 R2

6. Windows server 2012

There are other operating systems that are not servers but are designed to run on server machines. These are, Windows Home server and Windows MultiPoint server.
