I can’t really understand why my mirc719.exe could not start as compared to my friend laptops that can response easily.
How can I resolve this problem because I really need to communicate with them as soon as possible?
Please give an advice.

Hello Hassah,
So you are trying to run the mirc719.exe setup application on ubuntu by simply double clicking on it like it is done in windows, right? And what operating system does your friend's laptop have?
One thing about Linux applications is that they have to be installed from the terminal using the command line, and you cannot simply run then like it is done in windows Therefore you will need to look for the manual for installing that application, and also the commands that you will need to use in the terminal so as to install the application on ubuntu.
If that application is meant to be used on windows, you will have to look for one that can run on the Linux platform.
Hope this helps.

You might be running a file which comes from windows operating system or from other operating system platform. File association is very important in this case, as in my assessment you are running an “.exe” file which is generally used as an extension for Microsoft Windows platform for executable files. You may try to find some applications that are compatible for UNIX platform with the same software or functions. Or if you can find an application that is able run Microsoft Windows platform applications inside UNIX platform. Like what in have in Ubuntu, we are running Microsoft Windows platform applications using the virtual box.
