Mixcraft 4 5 crashes on Windows 8

I have been using Acoustica Mixcraft 4 5 as my workstation for multitrack recording and music production when I was still on Windows XP.  I reinstalled it on my upgraded system with 4 GB RAM and Windows OS 8.  The program just crashes when I try to use it.  What could be the problem?

Hi Donnaa,

There are possible reasons why the Acoustica Mixcraft 4 5 keeps on crashing. These are:

• Make sure you have enough memory or RAM (Random Access Memory). Multiple process has been running in your computer. You must be aware of the number of programs that are running simultaneously. This may result to slow performance of your computer thus affects the program itself.
• Program crashes are due to programming error  but sometimes it is due to hardware or operating system you're using.  Therefore you must make sure that your operating system are always updated. This includes the driver, sound card and Windows update.
• Install the latest version of Acoustica Mixcraft. For Windows OS 8, it recommended to install the Mixcraft 6.
