I am using HTC Touch Pro – 2. On the basis of successful running of RTM, I have upgraded this mobile to Office 2010.
I have been syncing my mobile via Bluetooth and then the code in WMDC encountered an error, “ 0x85010014”.
Can anyone explain the meaning and corrective action to remove this error?
Mobile Software error in HTC Touch Pro – 2
When you encounter an error message with “ 0x85010014” it means that, you are having difficulties in Outlook. Try to distinguish the problem and fix it by going to “Help” options and click Outlook. If you tried this and still it has no effect, you may try to uninstall Your Outlook and the Activesync.
Error 85010014 is known as a common error. In encountering this error you are required to uninstall your Outlook and reinstall it back. Outlook is also the culprit for the Activesync error. Save your settings before reconfiguring Outlook.
You can start uninstalling Outlook by:
-
Going to “Control Panel”
-
Then to “Add or Remove Programs”
-
Followed by “Office” and change the set up by adding and deleting components.
-
After removing Outlook in Office, return to “Office’ and install Outlook so that it is added back to “Office”.
-
Now insert your “Office” CD in the CD driver and restart your computer device.
You possibly encountered this error message because you established Outlook Script Blocking with antivirus, rearrange your Antivirus to permit Activesync in sending scripts to Outlook.
Also check if you have the legitimate copy of Outlook. This kind of error mostly occurs when the copy is not registered.
