Hi!

I am just wondering what could’ve gone wrong with my monitor. I have a new BenQ GL2450. I just bought this few days ago. I was able to use it and have no problems. This afternoon, I turned on my desktop and it showed half of the images sided to the left part of the monitor screen? What cause this phenomena? I did not install any software or hardware in my desktop computer. Can you provide me steps on how to resolve my problems?

Thank you so much!

Happy to support you!
  • Scan the computer to detect any viral attack for causing the issue.
  • If there are extra monitor adapters and cords available, you can try connecting them.
  • Verify that the GPU is free from dust and the fans are functioning properly.
  • Then go to Advanced settings & reduce the refresh rate to 70-75 and increase the resolution to the maximum level possible. Now, restart the computer.
  • Click on the Monitor tab > Screen refresh rate > select the necessary screen refresh rate > Click on Apply within 15 seconds
  1. Click on Start button > go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Adjust screen resolution
  2. Then go to Advanced settings.
  3. Click on the Monitor tab > Screen refresh rate > select the necessary screen refresh rate > Click on Apply within 15 seconds

If all these strategies fail to solve the issue, you can also contact for technical support and try a replace if it is under guarantee, since it is a new monitor.

If your screen suddenly display images to the left or the view is sided to the left, you probably pressed the keyboard shortcut and rotated the screen unknowingly. It is hard to navigate in this view but it can be restored to the normal viewing screen. To fix the viewing angle of your display, click “Start”, “Control Panel” then “Display”.

Next, click “Change display settings” on the left pane then click “Advanced settings”. On the graphics properties window, go to the video card driver tab like “Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver” or something similar then click “Graphics Properties”. Next, select “Display” on the left pane then click “General Settings”. On the right, set “Rotation” to “Rotate To Normal” then click “OK”.

For users with on-board Intel video card, you can press Ctrl + Alt + Up to rotate the screen to normal viewing angle. This will only work if hotkey is enabled. For users with NVIDIA or AMD video cards, check with your manual how to rotate the screen to normal view.
