My computer monitor is showing an error "Not Optimal Mode – it should be 1280×1024 @ 60Hz – Analog". It is written on a plain black screen and when I tried to pressed anything on my keyboard, nothing happens. Same thing when I click on the CPU. When trying to reboot, it just keeps on looping to the same error screen. Help me please.

Hey Picolo Norville!

It does not seem the error of your windows or any other thing. Basically it is a warning message from your Monitor. Your monitor will show its best on 1280×1024 resolutions. And your resolution must be more then or less then the desired resolution. That is why you are receiving this error.

Anyways now we have to solve it. When you start your computer, Press F8, it will take you to the safe mode. Once you are succeeded in reaching the desktop, now change your resolution to 1280×1024. After changing your resolution, restart your computer and this time you will not see this error message any more.

Thanks

Hello,

Thanks to Tunacao_Caaron1 for the help. A similar message that was shown on Picolo’s monitor was showed on one of my friend’s monitor too. She called me for help but I wasn’t sure what to do.

That is where you and techyv.com came to help me! The help to access the desktop through safe mode and setting the resolution to the given range was very helpful. Lots of thanks to techyv.com and its experts from my friend and me.
