Hi,
Apparently, the rollout of the new software update of the Droid 2 is now started, this update, though it does not bring a major change, it will fix significant number of bugs and bring several improvements.
This update will:
• Allow the Device to enable Wireless Alerting System.
• Improvement of security level.
• solve the problem where the device may power ON without user interaction.
• Camera settings will be saved, after power off.
• Fix possible resets while playing music.
• Fix for Out of Memory errors.
• Fix Gmail messages issue when the Device Hotspot is turned on.
• Errors that replicated thumbnails in message threads.

The bug fix for the Motorola Droid 2 Smartphone has already been released in 2012. If you haven’t check for an update until now, I guess it is time for you to update your phone’s firmware. If you received a notification for this update, just tap “Yes, I’m in” to begin the downloading of the software update. Once the downloading is complete, tap “Install now”.
When the installation is complete, your phone will restart automatically. But in case you didn’t receive a notification regarding the update, just update your phone manually. Tap or go to “Settings”, “About phone”, and then “System updates”. From there, tap “Yes, I’m in” to start downloading the update then just follow the same steps. Note: before updating your phone, make sure your device is fully charged.
