If you are buying the Apple's new thunderbolt equipped iMacs and are finding it hard to decide if you should buy a Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad. Let me tell you that each of the input devices costs around $69 and supports multi touch gestures.

The Apple Magic Mouse is easier to hold, easier to press, and the gestures don't involve as many fingers. Plus its really cool that the top of the mouse is a touch interface, so as you scroll, it works exactly the way you want it to.

But for me it’s the trackpad. It takes some getting used to, but after awhile its second nature. It also mirrors some gestures from the iPhone and iPad.

However, if you use it for gaming then Magic Mouse is for you whereas a trackpad is just not practical for that. A trackpad would make more sense for a compact device however.
