Move the folder of my profile to another location

Hi everyone

I want to move the profile folder of Tunderbird hidden on my system drive to another harddisk so that i can include it in backup.

Move the folder of my profile to another location

I’m not sure if moving the profile folder of your Thunderbird application is good since this folder is required and is part of the component of the application. Without this folder including the files inside, I think your application may become unstable.

When you say moving, you mean transferring or copying the whole folder to another hard drive and deleting its original directory from its original location on your system drive.

With this setup, if ever you launch Thunderbird and the application tried to access the profile folder and it did not find it there on where it supposed to be located, I’m sure there are other functions and options in the application that might not work.

If you want to include the profile folder in the backup then just copy it to wherever you want it copied but not move it.
