Hi experts! When I am trying to move mails to personal folders from the inbox Outlook it gets hanged and the task manager option has to be used for closing the application. The problem just repeats whenever I move or transfer mails. Please provide me a solution. I need it badly.

When moving email messages from web server to email client's inbox, it might hang if there are large attachment files that needs to be downloaded.

It usually happen if there are numbers of email messages saved in webmail and transfer directly into Outlook's inbox. You can do move email messages by batch, probably 10 email messages at a time.

When moving email messages by volume, the computer processor might not be able to handle the files to process because of low performance's hardware components installed. Update hardware memory and processor if you want long term solutions.

Another way is to disabled the firewall and or inbound and outbound email protection. This security software filtered all incoming messages and this is one of the cause why it hanged up. Different type of security software such as McAfee, Norton, AVG and other security program has it's own way to disabled this feature. So, be familiar on how to dis-engaged the email protection, if you are not sure how to do so, call your software manufacturer for instructions.

You should check and ensure that your computer is not running on low memory, because that will be the possible cause of that problem. The copying process may be exhausting the memory space that is available on the computer and therefore causing it to freeze in the process. And if that the case, then you will need to upgrade the RAM capacity of your computer so as to increase it's processing speed and thus solve the frequent freezing problems.

You also need to check that the location that you copying the files contains enough space to host those files. In case there is no enough space, then that will be the possible cause of the problem, and therefore you will need to create some space on that folder for the copying process to be successful.
